Appearance day mother Ganga,

The Day that giver of numerous benefit, the day that redefine the fate favourable,

Taking a bath in the river Ganga on this special day is supposed to give numerous rise to spirit for the cause,

Devotees while on performing bath may take Sankalp that pious resolve indicating the desire to destroy one's sin and acquire religious merit,

Suitable spot adds to the spirit and help devotees varyingly,

Recitation of OM Namo Narayana or Har Har Gange

Ceremonial sipping of Ganga Jal

Invitation to Mother Ganga to be present along with by uttering her various names

Sprinkling Ganga Jal on one's head

Applying clay taken from the bottom of River

Holy_Dip In the name of Mother

Satiating the manes and other beings in all the three worlds

 They who have cherished a strong desire to take bath in the River Ganga but due to many reasons not been able to have so, may perform Manasa Holy-dip which truly benefit the same way as it would have be real practice,

Those who are old aged, ill or with afflictions of fate can perform manasa puja or manas holy-dip by reciting the prayer with Ganga Jal in palms of respective hand and offer it suitable in the east,
