I revere

I revere the lord Saturn on the very first day of this New Year, savior of devotees, pious one and saints, repository of wisdom, shower his grace.

I greet Bhagwaan Shani Dev, embodiment of reverence, realization and faith, without which even the adept cannot perceive the ultimate truth.

I greet the pollen like dust of the lotus feet of lord Saturn, refulgent, fragrance and flavored with grace that is alike lovely life giving herb which allays the host of all the attendant ills of mundane existence.

I make obeisance to the lord Saturn, who is all wisdom, and legend of justice on the cord of karma.

I make obeisance in the lotus feet of Lord Saturn who is true preceptor for all mystic sciences of life and nature.

I ever adore Lord Saturn, who is very fond of true devotees, though represents the dark but enlighten the heart with the truth of self.

May the merciful lord Saturn, whose grace enables the dump to wax eloquent and cripple to ascend an inaccessible mountain, and who burns all the impurities of kali age, be gracious.

May the lord Saturn, whose form is established link of realization unto self and truth unto self, who is an abode of compassion, be gracious.
